For a low asking price, sunlite 1 inch threadless disc fork has managed to overwhelm their customers by packing as many features as they could. It is built to hold up the weight of a motorcycle, nor hold up to the forces and impacts of going down the road at speed. They designed this fork to fit a 26" wheel or smaller. The top plate ( the part that travels up and down) really should be sandwiched between two springs so that the bottom spring return is more cushioned. The springs were soft enough for a nice ride but the recoil was clunky and loud because as the springs returned to the normal position, they were slamming the top plate against the nuts at the top, metal to metal. It has a threaded bolt hole for mounting a fender.
The steer tube comes about 12 inches long so plenty of length to fit just about any frame although the maximum length of your head tube should be less than 6 1/. It's for the arm on a drum brake. It comes on the right side.Why We Like This:
