The pomya 12 volt ir light is exactly that - it's a simple light that hits all the right notes. It is about half the area that most video cameras are capable of seeing. It illuminates around the same as a common flashlight, which would be good enough for somewhere indoors like the shed, but for outdoors you'll probably need one of those big square illuminators instead unless it's just for the front door or something.
