It allows this compact crossbow to propel bolts with incredible accuracy at speeds of 405 fps. The entire thing is nice and heavy (substantial) thus absorbing recoil making it that much more accurate.

There is a built in 3 bolt quiver underneath the bow on the left side. They come with nocks made for these bolts, and fletching that is the right size to fit in the block that grabs the string during cocking. It saves string wear and overall maintenance of the bow in the long run.
