Roosebeck makes beautiful and great case with classic and smartly choosen materials. It is perfect for drumming circles even better than a tom-tom drum. It's tunable, has a great sound, real goat skin, and the tipper it comes with is great. It allows the player to comfortably reach hand in and apply pressure to head from the inside of the frame. It has hair on it which is a good thing, which means it's actually skin. It is embossed onto the hide so is offset a bit, and painting over it will not cover the wording completely.

The frame is very sturdy and the fabric also. It provides extra comfort and support to the player. It looks great, and the sound is very nice right out of the box.

If you want nothing but the best reliable case, then mid-east 16 bodhran case is the one you should definitely consider, as it manages to bring a lot to the table. If you have an inexpensive bodhran, this is the case for you. It includes a side pocket for tippers and twin zippers for easy opening and closing. The pocket holds two beaters and the tuning wrench. It does not provide a lot of cushion, it's not flimsy, either.

The pocket on the outside has a hook-n-loop (velcro-like) closure and can carry two fat tippers or three narrower ones with enough room for a couple of other small things, it's nice and deep.

The tipper pocket in front is a nice addition. The case does have an 18 inch diameter, and an 18 inch bodhran does fit into the case, but only with a fair amount of jiggery pokery.

It does it's job of protecting the drum from minor damage. The material of the case is thick, waterproof canvas and the bodhran fits snuggly into it. It can basically only serve as protection against dust.

This case would definitely not provide any cushion if you drop your drum. It fits the drum perfectly and keeps it safe. The best part is the little side pocket for the tipper and maybe keys or I.D. This is perfect for storing and traveling.
