The Hub Lug is usually inside a set of ball bearings, & the bearing housing is connected to the spokes. It is a well made wheel and very sturdy material used. The wheels turn independent of the axle. The wheel is great but has to enlarge the axel hole to make it fit the 1/2" shaft and other wise works great. The wheel is exactly 14 inches tall and the shaft hole is 3/8", and it has bearings as well. The tire material is a little more rubbery, but still a hard-plastic, tubeless tire.
