The cover of the Aspire is very flimsy aluminum being about as thick as a soda can so it has to reshape it to be flat and square. The screen is attached to the top by a frame ( remove the bottom cover and unscrew and'sticky tape' on the laptop cover. The adhesive on the two sides of the screen holds the side brackets to it. The bottom bracket that holds the frame has to be shifted left or right to disassemble and remove the screen frame. It is super sticky after removing the cracked LCD screen.
