While you may find a deck for any aesthetic preference, we looked for decks that had simple, elegant designs - ones that would appeal to most people - rather than models that adhered to specific aesthetic choices.

The Pyle dual cassette deck could've been designed better. It plays and records very well, no problems. It's supposed to be able to do high-speed dubbing, and that would be the main objective of two decks. This deck lacks Dolby and HX Pro processing that are commonplace in Japanese-designed decks, however Pyle's generic noise-reduction button works fine. There's an included jumper that's shown on the diagram, between the recorder and a "PA" unit with no clue left as to what it does.
The cassette deck is excellent, and works exactly the way it should. It is good to have a pisspot full of tapes if you can’t play them. The product is easy to set up.

The teac 4 track cassette deck should be able to handle its purpose and duties with ease. The CD player section incorporates a 1-bit digital-to-analog converter to ensure superior audio playback, while also offering such functions as track programming, random play, and repeat play. It includes separate line outputs for CD and cassette, a headphone jack with level control, and a full-function remote control.
The full-logic auto-reverse cassette deck, meanwhile, plays and records both forward and backward, letting you easily archive cds or radio programs without missing more than a moment of footage. The Unit has great sound production and thorough instructions. It features include a four-digit electronic index counter with a convenient clear button.
Why We Like This:
1 -bit digital-to-analog converter ensures superior playback
Condense your system components without losing precious functionality with the teac ad

The pioneer 4 track cassette deck is specially designed for your daily usage and has all useful features. The W205R offers everything you need in a 21st-century cassette deck. It is outfitted with dolby b and c (dolby b reduces noise by about 10 db, while dolby c knocks it down 20 db), and it will play (but not record) tapes encoded with s-type noise reduction. There is a switch on the front that you can move to one of three different settings.
The heads are good just clean them with a q tip and rubbing alcohol. It is a little noisy during reverse, clicks and clacks as the heads reset. It can play one side of the tape and stop, or it can play both sides of the tape and stop, or it can play both sides of the tape continuously. These are some of the best tape decks made.
Why We Like This:
Dolby b and c noise reduction, auto tape-type selection

The onkyo 4 track cassette deck might be a relatively new release, but it's still nothing short of impressive this year, thanks to multiple price cuts and added new features over the past few months. The primary output jacks are RCA line out, intended to go to the tape input jacks on a receiver. These can go to the line in jack on the computer's sound card, provided you have the proper adapter and cords.
Why We Like This:
Plays cassettes, even old ones, without problems in either well
Easy to hookup both decks work flawlessly very satisfied
