This lovely counting song will invoke squeals of delight from babies and toddlers. It is a great book for early learning of counting and colour concepts. The board book pages are thick and sturdy and will stand up to some abuse at the hands of young kids and the glossy pages wipe clean fairly easily. It is very bright and colorful and the mama duck expressions are very hilarious and the ducks look cute and their rainbow color which is a plus.

The simplicity of the song is actually a good thing as it allows the little ones to quickly pick up on the song, and start signing along. This book is a great companion to listening to the song. The story has a happy ending (of course), but still provides just enough cause for concern and suspense to help toddlers learn to be patient though some sadness and worry. This book is a great book for early learning of counting and colour concepts.
