Next on the list, we've got yet another len that manages to win our hearts. It's the celestron 50 mm telescope len and it's widely considered as len that has the most suitable features. Using a 40mm eyepiece in this scope will give you a very low magnification of 18x, which is well suited for open clusters, lunar observation and sweeping wide regions of target-rich constellations such as Scorpius and Sagittarius. As far as this lens in your scope, it will help a lot for planets and the moon and some star clusters. The scope is an f.10 and the maximum magnification by calculation is 10mm.
This eyepiece works well in the slower scope, where it gives bright, sharp images. The clarity and color rendered through the eyepiece is top notch. It fits in an inch and a quarter opening. It is coated with green optics which means glass surfaces have multiple coatings for brighter light transmission. The clarity and brightness through these compares to the lenses that come with the telescope is 10x better. The rubber shield on the eyepieces fold up or down out of the way if you like.
The lenses offer high quality optics at a very reasonable cost. It comes with a foldable soft silicone rubber eye cup for the comfort of the observer. The eyepieces do have internal threads while the Barlow Lense does not.
