If you are looking for that vintage tweed tone, this is the vacuum tube for you. There are two separate and complete 6V6 tubes with similar plate voltages matched to run as a pair. The image is fantastic, and the soundstage is very realistic, sometimes a bit surprising, in fact. The saturation is creamy and silky, what you would expect in a 6V. It offers excellent tone and is not harsh.
These are great tubes for hi-fi headphone amplification. It is JJ, tung-sol, electro harmonix, mesa boogey, and they are all pretty much made in the same place. The sound is more focus on the mids, is still warm but not HiFi very tweedy.Why We Like This:
