The TOP pads are of excellent quality paper, as well.

These are a nice size and appealing color steno notebook. The wire binding is sturdy enough and hasn't bent or twisted under normal use.

It has firm front & back covers and a metal spiral binding just large enough to hold a pencil firmly at the ready. The covers are not even paperboard and are pretty flimsy. The spiral at the top is perfect and convenient. The covers match the paper quality, which is really good and a great shade of the standard steno green.

The front and back covers are good and pretty sturdy. It has design is refreshing, and especially as regards the cardboard cover, which is tactilely soft on the outside and smooth/shiny on the inside. The covers are sturdy and the ink doesnt bleed thru.

The tops 6x9 steno pad should be able to handle its purpose and duties with ease. If you're looking for a steno book that has thicker cardboard front and back, this is for you. These are what they say they are and the work for the intended purpose of a left-hander who loves purple to keep notes. There will be a batch of dark dusty rose (brownish pink, not very pretty) pages, then a few sheets of a lighter and brighter rose (much nicer), then back to the dusty rose.
