This is a 3 wire light switch. It works great, first put east and west light come on second pull north and south light come on, third pull turns all lights on, and fourth pull turns all lights off. It fits the fan and works well. It is easy to install in a ceiling fan.

It can be configured to properly operate a hunter 3-speed fan that has a capacitor with 2 gray, 1 green, and 1 brown wire. The spring loaded connections inside do not feel very secure. It is easy to replace (using something like a paper clip) to remove one wire at a time and move it to the new switch.
