The expanse series eyepieces are built quite well and provide a great wide field view with a longer focal length so you don't have to struggle to look through them. It creates beautiful sharp images and a generous 66 degree apparent field of view. It has good eye relief so that you look through it rather than squint. It's also very comfortable for the eye.

The views are nice and sharp for its level of view, but you're going to pay at least $50 more, and probably much more, for that. It's not too gargantuan for its intended purpose.
