The Kreg Bandsaw Fence is strudy and accurate while being easy to use. It works for edge-mounted fences. The slide is smooth as glass the screw/hold down is a little chency but does the job and holds the fence. It's solid, well-designed, versatile, and comes in first-rate packaging with an excellent guide for installation and use.

The extruded fence is solid and straight, the sliding mechanism for the rails is very smooth and easy to operate. The ability to flip the extrusion on it's side will be great for cutting the smaller bits. There's a steel stick-on ruler and a small plastic magnifying cursor to help set the width of a cut. The fact that the t-slots are standard size gives you the ability to use other than kreg products. All fences are made from the same 3/4” MDF so the ruler scale does not need to be recalibrated when changing fences.

The aluma-classic fence features a heavy duty locking lever to ensure no movement when the fence is set to your desired position. The center tube is steel but the sides are extruded aluminum and are about 1/2" thick so the magnet won't stick. The screw also prevents removal of the fence by just lifting the front of the fence and just sliding it forward. This holds the weight of the fence and prevents flexing.

The included self-adhesive measuring tape and adjustable magnified cursor offer the ability to quickly position the fence with a high degree of precision. The locking mechanism works fantastic as well. The top of the front rail will sit aprox 1/2" from the top of the saw.
