Alesis Drum Kit

Alesis Drum Kit
Buy on Amazon

Compared with other products by Alesis, the alesis drum kit has a convenient design. The kit has 4 mesh drum heads and a kick drum. It comes with Nitro mesh’s usb-midi and midi in/out ports, transmit midi information directly to a computer and unite your synthesizer, drum machines and more for expanded performance potential. The mesh kits are quieter with less of a “clacking” sound for everyone else without headphones. The module offers some pretty cool functions including a fully custom metronome for odd signatures and songs you can jam to with or without the drums.

The kit comes well packaged and is easy to setup, the pads feel well made and the pedals are really nice quality. The mesh heads are great and the module itself is very diverse in sounds and once you start messing around with it you can create some really good kits of your own. The module has 2 extra ports for 2 additional triggers which is wonderful.

Why We Like This:
  • Perfect for studio, practice and stage use
  • Easy assembly, kit for beginners or digital smarties
  • Has a great feel and tons of fun to drum

Why We Like This:

The alesis expansive sound library is capable of outshining several other products featured in this list in overall features for the price point. This is a pretty solid kit. It comes with the latest-generation mesh heads for the fastest, most natural response ever and patented enhanced articulation system. It is faster, more natural and easier-playing than ever before. The stock voices are pretty good, but those would improve it if you're looking for a more professional sound.

These are covered with a new thick comfortable rubber that creates the perfect blend of feel, control, bounce and volume. The drums themselves are excellent, albeit there is a learning curve if all you have ever played are acoustics. It is compatible with the pads since they're dual zone.

Why We Like This:
  • You can play indoors with headphones
  • You can use a double kick with the bass that comes with the kit
  • Great connectivity for play-along and recording
  • Excellent for practicing without disturbing the neighbors

Alesis decent Kit

The alesis decent kit is satisfactory and appropriate and fits well with your daily usage. This is definitely a step up from all other alesis kits, which are usually made for beginners. It allows even more sounds, lapping and recording. The bass drum trigger is large enough to accommodate. The triggering is great and the hi hats are much better.

If you’re buying it to learn motion and technique, it’s great, but if you want to record or play live with it, not so much.

Why We Like This:
  • Feels and sounds buttery and crispy
  • Really really great sounds for preset kits
  • Mesh, rack and the stands are good qualities
  • Just pretty basic and a bit stiff feeling
