Best part: orange amps amp head for metal costs reasonable and it is available to ship in 24 hours. This new little tube amp cranks pretty loud and sounds clean and the distortion sounds great too. It can be used as a signal out to a board. With a P-90 equipped LPJ, the resulting tone is a gritty, overdriven roar that doesn't sound fizzy or scooped like some American-voiced amps. It is perfect for anybody that wants a small amp that can either play loud when plugged into a 4x12 cab or play quietly directly plugged into headphones.
The speaker output needs a load when the unit is on. It is allows for a wide variety of tones from the amp and the gain control is responsive as well giving very clean clean sounds, very dirty dirty sounds and everything in between.
Why We Like This:
Great buy, perfect for apts & home studios
Crisp, clear and plenty of warmth you'd expect from a high end amplifier
Very simple to use with a surprising amount of versatility
Classic orange gain sounds but surprisingly gets great clean tones as well

Not everyone likes to purchase head for their daily usage, but the orange guitar cabinet would be an anomoly. There are plenty of better, more powerful, and more flexible amps out there. It handles pedals extremely well, particularly because of the effects loop. It has such a broad range of tones and shines in all aspects. It’s basic, only three knobs, but really that’s all you need. It’s got a heavier, darker tone. On it’s own, it sounds great, but it really shines when you pair it with pedals. It’s easy to take anywhere. It has a buffered effects loop built in.
Why We Like This:
Great sound, running various guitars/effects out of a 2x12 cab

The peavey amp head for metal is capable of outshining several other head featured in this list in overall features for the price point. The distortion channel on this amp is its strong point. It has a speaker defeat (mute) button that lets you play the amp without connecting to a speaker cab, for silent headphones practice or getting the tone out of your computer speakers/pa system etc. It cleans with a ton of distortion when needed.
There is a versatile ohm speaker switch to work with either 8 or 16 ohm extension speaker cabinets. It is easy to get any sound from crunch to a deep distortion. There are two, two-button footswitch jacks on the back of the amp. Clean is clean, easily does R&R crunch, loves pedals and the lead channel has plenty of gain at less than 1/2 way up.
Why We Like This:
Great tone, easy to get any sound from crunch
Minimum hardware requirements may be needed for use with recording software
Love the clean, crunch and lead tones
Has pre amp tubes and sounds fat with somewhar loose low end

We would, of course, be remiss if we didn't mention valeton amp head for metal for daily usage. If you need a small guitar amp, this is the way to go. The Headphone Out Acts as a Cab Simulator for Plugging into Speakers/Headphones, or Recording Interfaces So You Get An Amazing Full Tone. It can do completely clean, crunchy to haywire, and anything from subtle reverb to surf. It is great for recording & playing in a room.
The cabinet has a removable panel about the size of one rack space that fits an amp. It takes pedals very well and it is easy to take anywhere. It is surprisingly good sounding though lacking low end frequencies. The EQ is very effective, and helps you dial in the right tone, along with the gain gain.

We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a convenient and appropriate head. The prs guitars amp head for metal is exactly that - it's a simple head that hits all the right notes. The MT15 sounds amazing in both clean and lead mode. It takes pedals very well to. It can handle a single 8 ohm cabinet on one output for an 8 ohm load, or 2 8 ohm cabinets combined for a 4 ohm total load. It's definitely powerful (apparently 25 watts on full power, and 11 watts on half power) and well-made. It has a lot of power & oomph. It will carry and protect your amp, cords and channel-select pedal. It comes in a nice small package.

A skimpy, unpadded, non-waterproof deal that is not road-worthy in the least

The marshall speaker cabinet is satisfactory and appropriate and fits well with your daily usage. This type of low wattage amp is best for apartments and recording studios. It does indeed sound great and also make a combo version with a 8 inch speaker. It ships neatly packaged, with a speaker cab patch cord, and footswitch. It does get loud enough if you mic your cab.
This head is best used as an effect pedal, running in the input and out the effects loop into a more powerful (>10W tube) power section on another amp. The level pot is really progressive, as it should. It is great for jamming with cranked tone at a low volume. The stomp box is actually of the metal, solid kind.

Awesome little amp, perfect for jamming with cranked tone at a low volume

We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a convenient and appropriate head. The orange amp head for metal is exactly that - it's a simple head that hits all the right notes. While it's not as powerful as the Rockerverb series, it's 30 watts packs a lot of punch. It is amps that deliver everything from blissful cleans, to classic bluesy orange crunch all the way through to full-bodied, ultra high gain metal distortion. It cleans, right up to the point of breakup, whilst the dirty channel remains unerringly focussed, steeped in complex harmonic overtones even at maximum gain settings.
The clean channel on this is amazing, rich, creamy tone with huge headroom with a deathly quiet amp noise and takes pedals well, so its masterful just like that. It comes with volume, shape (basically a tone control), and gain controls. It is allows for any number of effects and cables to be patched between the amp’s input and output sections without sacrificing tone.
Why We Like This:
You can get everything from a clean crunch to outright filthy distortion

We would, of course, be remiss if we didn't mention marshall amp head for metal for daily usage. The Origin 50 is a great sound amp, can be very loud if you want it to be, is the best value in tube amps PERIOD, and nails classic Marshall tones. This amp sounds incredible, turn the gain to 10 and pull the knob (maximum gain) and it sounds like AC/DC. It takes pedals well and the variable wattage is a great feature.
The rubber feet on the bottom of the head sit nicely on the top of the ORI212 cabinet. It doesn't completely nail any of those, but it'll definitely get you in the ballpark. It’s ok for metal, but doesn’t feature a distortion channel.
Why We Like This:
Every guitar sounds and feels different through it
Sounds great and no problems with the head or speakers
50 watt and use four speakers capable of handling 350 watts
