This is a simulation game. The computerish talking voices are really funny. The game likes to run itself, and if you’re used to life sim games such as The Sims, this lack of control is going to feel a bit obstructive to you. They can even fall in love with each other, even getting married and having a baby.

The mini games also can be quite frustrating at the beginning, like guessing objects based on silhouettes, guessing super zoomed in objects. The game runs seamlessly without any lag. It's a lot of fun and funny with some jokes and mischief making.

If your a gamer looking for a platforming exploration challenge, this game is a must. This game is a unique blend of forging a path into a new game while taking an exciting dash down memory lane. The sprawling, labrynthine underworld is laced with hidden missile tanks and energy capsules, per the series norm, and the morph ball takes the spotlight with several upgrades that open up many more areas and means of travel. The environments are varied and detailed, often featuring 3d backdrops with creatures that move in the background and interact with it, creating falling debris or other destruction. The lonely atmosphere is back and the tense music and ambience fit the spacious 3D effect nicely.

The new graphics are more reminiscent of a Fusion/Other M crossbreed but overall the scenery and environment is beautiful and expansive and holds well with the overall setting of the game. Smooth controls are still intact and the free aim has made combat much smoother. The improvements to the graphics, and battles with the metroids are pretty fun.

The new characters are really enjoyable, and the returning characters that are a staple of the series (Zelda, Impa, etc) all have interesting traits that make this game's version of them unique.

Link's picture ability is far from "gimicky" and serves as a wonderful gameplay factor both in exploring and dungeon puzzle-solving. The game in itself is it's own adventure but retains so much of A Link to the Past DNA that the nostalgia factor alone makes the game worth its weight in gold,err, and rubies. This is a fully fleshed out game with no corner cut. The controls in this game are very smooth and precise. There's fantastic variety and attention to detail in this game visually.

If you will love the first yoshi island this one is a must have. The game does build upon what the original super nes trilogy set up, from the elaborate environments and smart level designs to the downright epic boss battles and combining remixed nostalgic music with new original music that equally sounds great. The way the levels are designed around the great gameplay is truly unique for a 2-D platformer, making for really fun, fluid platforming as well as exciting exploration.

New Island's gameplay is very simple and smooth. They enable Yoshi to hover as long as you hold the jump button, so you can float right over hazards and enemies. The Pipe will let you use golden flutter wings, which make you immune to all enemies and attacks.
