The "quick disconnect" or "quick release" refers to an optional connection on the HP hose that allows the computer to be easily removed from the hose for storage and travel. The compass connects to the computer at an angle which helps level out the compass and align it with you center. It is small, but very, very easy to read. The Bluetooth capability is excellent and connects with your cell phone app to record your dives. I'm looking forward to many more dives with it.
