It is easy to use and handsomely produced, this belongs in every eastern birdwatcher's collection. The plates are grouped by family which makes basic identification easy.

All of the Audubon field guides are really easy to use, fun to page through and very approachable for beginners. The Thick pages are durable with a glossy, somewhat water resistant finish. The other books have drawings of the birds, but photos are so much easier to identify the birds in true colors. The book also has a section that describes each bird as well as maps that show the likely locations where birds can be found.
