It feels well made, spins true, and runs strong. It is designed to run at 60hz and slowing it down would slow down the cooling air flow for the motor, add that with a load (grinding application), the motor may not be able to cool itself sufficiently. The grinder does not reduce power or speed when used heavily. It makes the pedestal jump up and down.
