While you may find a tape for any aesthetic preference, we looked for tapes that had simple, elegant designs - ones that would appeal to most people - rather than models that adhered to specific aesthetic choices.

We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a tape. The fizik blue bartape dark is exactly that - it's a simple tape that hits all the right notes. The Fizik handlebar tape has the right amount of cushion, durable and it looks great. It is thin but soft and tacky. The performance tape is cushier, and also has slightly thinner edges for a neater appearance once wrapped. The tape is very easy to wrap around the curves of the bar and lay flat. It wears well and lasts several seasons.
This tape comes with plenty of extra length, extra pieces to wrap under the hoods, and end-caps. The surface feels like rubber, and plus the groove providing the tackiness, it is very easy to ride in the drop while sprinting. It is good for controlling for its rubberish sticky surface. It's flexible enough to make wrapping a breeze and strong enough not to rip during installation.
