The shackle is a must have accessory for your daily purpose. These are built extremely well. It has a nice weight to them and the silicone grip is nice. What makes these even more awesome are the various rubber spacers that enable you to tighten so the rings don’t bounce against the bumper. There is rust in the eye holes on the shackle pins. There is a hole on the back of that pin for a wire or retainer so you don't loose them to road vibration.
