The muffler won't bolt up to the engine because the curve of the generator housing is to high, or better yet the muffler is to low. It fits 12.5, 16 and 18 hp vanguard v-twin horizontal engines. The muffler will bolt up perfect on the briggs & stratton vanguard engine the only thing depending on any heat shields you may have to make minor alterations on the shields to make the support bracket on the muffler where it bolts to the engine housing.
