There are a couple things that hold it back from perfection. It is a solid choice for a scuba diving flashlight as well as an all around flashlight. The LED technology has really improved the light quality over the old incandescent or halogen which uses battery quickly and the light is more amber. It is sufficiently bright to light the darkest holes and easy to use. The switch is easy to turn on in your vest and drain your light. It is very bright but also has a sliding dimmer to go from low to full power. It is easy to hold and a great overall light.

Battery charge lasts for hours, far longer than 3 or 4 day dives. It is good for short term, non-critical use where they can be easily and quickly replaced, which is not underwater or in the dark.
