It uses 4 extremely soft metal Phillips screws. There’s literally a phillips screw separating the handle mount and the handles, and it’s a must-carry a screwdriver to set if you wanna use these.

The stitching looks great. There are a few small screws that get loose, securing the backside detente panel that's covered by the frontside panel secured with a thumbscrew. It is a must have for your shoulder rig. These are fairly well made and robust handles. It is great way to hold a handy camera stable.
