The radio comes with a non-detachable, power wire(two wires molded into one cord, 1/2 black, 1/2 red), with about 3/4” bare wire ends. The mic is pretty decent and the unit transmits/receives well. It has scan so you can let it scan through all the cb channels and stop when it detects an rx, and when the transmission ends, it will start scanning again.
