It includes a nice heavy duty usb3 cable, 1.25" adapter, and a 1.25" adapter. The best use is guiding and if you want to take nebulas and galaxies it helps to be guided. It can be used by the autoguider application.

This is an excellent tracking camera. It is good as a starting ccd planetary camera, but best as a guide camera for larger'scopes and imagers. The build quality of this camera is excellent, and the metal casing is nicely machined without any surface defects to note. There are some ways to get this camera to work under these operating systems but that support is mostly integrated in a handful of other applications.
