The celestron great eyepiece should be able to handle its purpose and duties with ease. It’s very sturdy and has pretty good eye relief. It features a 40 to 60 degree field of view and 15 to 18 millimeter eye relief. It is also helpful when observing venus or bright terrestrial scenes. It comes with a nice hard plastic protective case which is a big plus. It is compatible with any telescope that accepts 1.25” eyepieces.

The celestron versatile eyepiece should be able to handle its purpose and duties with ease. The nice part about this zoom lens is the long eye relief distance, meaning you can wear glasses or contact lenses, or, without glasses you do not need to jam the eyepiece against your eyeball. It has no threads above the lens and its just rubber. It replaces several different other lenses, and is definitely convenient to use because all you have to do is adjust it to have another lens instead of changing the lens. It has a large opening to view through.

The convenience of doing quick zoom's to find and center on objects then hone in is really nice and for most planetary viewing this presents a pretty decent view. Its not perfect and there is a lot of chromatic aberration when using it zoomed way in at the 8-12mm level but when you are zoomed way out at 24mm, WOW, the view is astounding. The zoom feature is great, even if it comes at expense of a diminished AFOV.
