If you love to make shawls this book is for you. It is a thick book and has many patterns. The patterns and yarns/colors used are really beautiful. The close up shots of the designs not only show you the pattern of the stitch work, but also gives you an almost three dimensional feel for the yarn being used. The book also has excellent pages on wet shaping your finished shawl, using pins to hold it in place til it dries, in order to bring out the full beauty of the patterns.

The patterns are very innovative. If you are very experienced, such as myself, you might use these as a relaxing escape from a more challenging pattern.
