If you’re ready to unleash some carves and turns, this is the soft top for you. It’s built like a classic fiberglass surf board, but with an additional soft top, or “deck” layer. This board has a beginner friendly soft top, a nice grippy surface, the stiffness of an epoxy / fiberglass board, and increased volume due to the foam core. Triple stringers and 6oz fiberglass cloth (two layers on top, one layer on bottom) with epoxy resin make this an extremely durable soft top surfboard.

The 8'2" Soft Top Surfboard weighs 15.2 pounds is 23.75" wide, and 2.6" thick. It has 41 liters of volume, which makes it much easier to catch waves than a standard shortboard of similar size. If you're a beginner it still will work well, just maybe not as easy at first as something larger, but still plenty of float/buoyancy, paddles fast, and has good rigidity so you can ride it in slightly more vertical/powerful surf. It offers a black & white sea camo zebra striped bottom design with three removeable performance fins. It has a wide texture and doesn't require wax. Once you become accustomed to surfing this you'll be able to transition to a short board if desired.

This is a very easy board to ride so it still has the benefits of a larger board but with more maneuverability. It will be smaller and narrower than your 9', but has a lot of float/buoyancy, paddles fast, and has good rigidity so you can ride it in slightly more vertical/powerful surf.
