Not everyone likes to purchase set for their daily usage, but the learning resources fun toy would be an anomoly. As far as the time teaching goes, this clock is awesome. It is great way to help learn to tell time without kids realizing they are learning. The clock dial becomes an artifact for occasional decorateive use like roman numerals. There is a quiz mode that encourages kids to match the digital display hands on the clock. The lights on the clock (which are really quite bright) are supposed to reflect green when it is ok to wake and blue when it is time to continue sleeping, this function doesn’t seem to work. This is a great toy/tool/resource to teach kids this skill. It is also a fantastic night light.
