The protec concert band music folder is suitable and reliable and fits well with your daily purpose. There is some orchestra music just barely fits in the pockets. The size is perfect for larger scores and the pockets are wide enough to easily accommodate more than three hours of music. Even when full of sheet music in both pockets, it is still nice and slim and is hardly thicker than a textbook. It is made for the thickness that the pockets will hold. The pockets fill out impressively, and there is a built in pencil holder.
The folder is at its thickest point, the straps which is made of rubber, will stretch its tension to protect the music by securely tightening the folder. The elastics help keep all the music from spilling out.
Why We Like This:
Very plush and comfortable to hold
Adequate in size and keeps everything together
Nice look and finish and solid construction
Keeps the paper music in good order and protects against bad folds

It is not exactly the bonded leather cadillac of folders, but if you want a practical folder on a budget, this is it. It has full rather than diagonal pockets, a clear vertical strap (kind of awkward to use), and elastic bands to hold music. The blend of pockets and strings make them very versatile. It is all plastic except for the elastic and the spine where the elastic is wound through. The plastic hand strap is located on the spine of the folder, and can be a little uncomfortable depending on the angle at which you’re used to holding the folder. The stretchy bands on the inside binding are great for holding the score in place or a pencil during rehearsal.
There are still two pockets on either side for whatever you might need, but no pencil holder. The folder holds your hand so the hand can relax.
Why We Like This:
A very convenient place for quickly grabbing your pencil to mark music
Good size pockets to keep multiple music scores
Great folder, two generous pockets (no shelf) and hand strap is clear
