It has a comfortable carrying handle and a padded adjustable shoulder strap make the soft case a lightweight alternative to a hardcase. The soft case style includes heavy duty dual zippers and an external pouch for storage of accessories. It closes fine, cornet stays snug, and has a spot for the mouthpiece.

The case could use an " interior lip " inside the four interior corners plus inside the zipper area to maintain the case as one piece when zipped together. The instrument feels as safe in this "soft" case as it could be in a hard case. If you only need it as simple yet safe storage and for occasional or temporary use, this is a good option.
