The Edelstein ink bottles are very nice and feel great in the hand. It is really pretty much in the middle of the road as far as darkness is concerned. This ink is lovelyit looks quite dark in the photos, but the actual ink itself is a vibrant blue, more saturated in color than iroshizuku inks. The ink is smooth as silk and has a deep emerald color.

This is a beautiful bright yet deep green ink. Love this colour, it has a lot of character and somehow combines well coming out of a very traditional black with gold accent fountain pen. If you are accustomed to a faster drying ink like 4001 this one will take time to get used to because it takes nearly twice as long to dry. It is suitable for all writing situations.

Why We Like This:
  • Sapphire color is a perfect blue for everyday use
  • Bring a portable ink reservoir and carry extra with you
  • Beautiful shading, complex wet ink that is perfect for
  • A beautiful, vibrant orange that behaves very well in a broad range of pens

Best part: pilot dark green ink costs comparatively low and it is available to ship in 24 hours. These inks (and the bottles) are gorgeous, and addictive. The Forest Green lightens as it dries. The ink flows very nicely through a pilot metropolitan with fine nib. The shading is not so dark using a Fine NIB. It comes in many colors, and it is much cheaper in the long run than to constantly be buying cartridges, which don't come in as many colors, if any besides black and blue.

The ink is definitely beautiful, and it is enjoyable to write with. It is washable but does not wash easily off hands. There is no shading even when flexing, medium saturation, no water resistance, no sheen.

Why We Like This:
  • Dries fast, doesn't smudge and flows very nicely as you'd expect from iroshizuku ink
  • Excellent quality ink in a beautiful color
  • Good "wet" ink for daily writing
  • Good ink that absorbs and dries quickly and looks nice
