Delorme is a useful Atlas for navigating the primary and secondary roads of Nevada, Utah, Washington, Oregon. Some of the older symbols and combined with the style of map printing make the older maps easier to read and spot the features on the map. It is nice to have a large map as opposed to looking on a cell phone screen.

The additional information regarding lakes and fish and recreational information is great to have when you're on the road. These are extremely helpful when boondocking, hiking and finding your way when gps/cell service is unavailable. The detail is great and are easy to use. This is a MUST have if you like the outdoors.

It can find some out of the way places with this map. Because it includes lots of topographical features, such as the smallest of rivers and creeks, little lakes and ponds, wetlands, and the like, one can find these places, which are often not even noted on the normal road atlas.

The delorme city map is satisfactory and appropriate and fits well with your daily usage. It is great for seriously exploring louisiana. It really helps you to familiarize yourself with a new parish or area of the state before travelling there, or finding a way to get back onto a major hwy/interstate if lost. It is useful to plan some state road trips, hitting up some interesting towns and cities all along the way.

The Atlas could have more pages because the wide swath of diverse territory and the topographical complexities make its pages too busy and difficult to visually navigate. It does not distinguish between dirt/gravel and paved roads. The guide in the front of the campground is extremely helpful and informative. It is a must have if you like to get off the beaten path andor take the back roads.
