The shimmer is beautiful in bright light. This writes on the darker side, similar to a blue/black ink, but with gold shimmer. It does shimmer but you have to gently shake up the ink in the pen if you want the shimmer to come out. The purple of this ink is dark enough that you can use it for every day and it won't look too 8th grade. The ink provides good flow with a reasonable dry time and looks fantastic.

Diamine fountain pen ink is a water based non waterproof ink. It can be used in a broad-nibbed, stub, or flexible pen. It's the perfect color to fill a Copper Esterbrook pen, and it behaves very nicely in that pen. It also provides a pretty nice lighter water-color-like effect when smudged, if art is your thing.
The ink is (understandably, since it's fountain pen ink) a little messy when used with a ruling pen or other pens you have to dip, but it does work and provides a rich color and tactile texture to the page. The ink dries fairly fast if your pen is a wet writer.Why We Like This:
