The Devol skid plate for the DRZ400 looks good, is beastly solid, and has a design that provides decent airflow to the engine cases while looking great at the same time. It blends well into the frame. It offers minimal additional protection for the rear suspension dog bones and bellcrank. More than adequate protection on the sides and the flat bottom allows easy use of a stand or jack.

The thickness over the small stock aluminum strip and 2 plastic crankcase guards is awesome. It will rattle and make alot of noise unless you add insulators. It will save your water pump in a tumble and make alot of noise unless you add insulators. It's easy to assemble too, and goes on the bike in well under 1/2 hour.
