They’re big high quality board books with a lot of objects for babies to point out. It would provide hours of time together locating the objects and talking about them. The pictures are excellent, the pages are sturdy and the size is great.

Not everyone likes to purchase book for their daily purpose, but the deborah november elmo's abc book would be an anomoly. It is a good way to introduce the alphabet. It includes higher concepts like "joke" and "poem", with examples showing what joke and poem mean. It is more for a child who has mastered their abcs and are ready to move on expanding their vocabulary. The book has beautiful and vibrant illustrations. They also use "love" for "L" which is nice, but again it's a bit abstract for a really small child. The big size of the book makes it easy to crease and bend the cover. The harry mcnaught elmo's abc book has killer features for the price point. This is an excellent book to help teach toddlers their letters and numbers. The "S" page, for example, features a park scene where various characters are going down the slide, playing on the swings, running through the sprinklers, and even eating a sandwich by a sandbox. The pages are filled with descriptions of said letters and numbers, so say you're on the letter A, there isn't just a pictutre if a singular item such as an apple, but numerous of well drawn colorful examples. This book is loaded with fun pictures that the authors and illustrators creatively designed to include as many words that start with the letter of the page, without being disjointed.

The number section is darling too, and even introduces counting by 10's. This is a great book to start the learning process for letters and numbers, and is sturdy enough to stand up to a lot of use. The book is a nice size, the pictures are wonderful and it is very well made.
