The ge cooktop model might be a relatively new release, but it's still nothing short of impressive this year. If you want to simply spend your time using the appliance, not learning how to use it, this is the cooktop that you need to get. It really sets it off nicely. It's a nice, simple cooktop. The box hangs low into the cut out, so you can only store flat utensils under it or pot holders so it doesn’t catch and break the unit if you have a drawer under it. It does show dirt easily and are pretty darn accurate.

It works as quickly as gas, but with no fumes, you can get away with a less powerful hood, and it's so easy to clean. It has a timer, works much like a gas range for keeping things warm just set it to low, and doesn't come with a griddle.

The controls are straight-forward, and the range is very responsive. It is also frameless with no stainless steel trim. The ge great cooktop should be able to handle its purpose and duties with ease. This cooktop is simple yet very stylish. It needs to be set into a counter top or base of some sort. The burner layout and grate design is exactly like the old Thermidor. It also doesn’t feel like stainless steel but more like a brushed aluminum. The grills are a nice feature.
