It's very straightforward and provides a very solid mount for a cymbal. It fits the standard diamond shaped bracket. It holds a 20” fairly heavy ride with no movement. It is also hinged, and will hold 12 and 10.5 MM arms.

The mount is top-notch, and hardware is a VAST improvement over the stuff that was around 30+ years ago. It's time consuming to take the heads of to get to the screws, but it works,especially if you add some felt between the mount and your bass shell.
