We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a convenient and appropriate map. The national geographic maps good map is exactly that - it's a simple map that hits all the right notes. The National Geographic map has more "guide book" type information than the Great Pacific Map. Because it is bigger, they fit more of the map image on a single side of the map. It's hardly detailed enough for travel inland, but is nice for putting the Inside Passage into perspective for those with shakier geography, like kids.
The pictures are vibrant and clear, and the material is quite durable. It is good aid for knowing where you are while on an un-cruise of inner passage of alaska. The Great Pacific Map doesn't fold down quite as flat due to the thickness.
Why We Like This:
Large, detailed,in plasticized paper for durability
