This is a definite upgrade from the old Tandy books from the Fifties, full of very good ideas. It’s a great introduction to the necessary tools and procedures used in leather craft. It has a good mix of the traditional leather work as well as some simpler techniques and projects. With a starter kit, you'll learn tooling, carving, dying, finishing, sewing, resisting possibly and possibly riveting and/or adding snaps & buckles. It even covers attaching hardware to finished leather projects.

This book shows you the different art/craft areas and you can gauge the difficulty or ease for you, tools you will need, and what you might like to try. It’s a great book for the beginner and refreshing the experienced craftier if you haven't done a type of technique or maybe a new idea you haven't thought of.
