High quality spring steel leaves add new life to old springs. The bushings appear to be present to keep the factory leaf springs coupled together on the Dodge assembly line. The helper springs also increase the total "spring rate" of your rear suspension and loads will not compress the rear end of your truck as much as they do with only the OEM springs.
These springs are adjustable and an air ratchet wrench and deep socket really speeds the adjustment process. It is fine to install the hat bolts (the funny bent ones) upside down (legs pointing up with crossbar on top) for more clearance of rear break parts. The ride is noticeable harsher when running empty near the max setting, however.
The springs do not make a sound when being used or not being used.
Why We Like This:
Fast and easy bolt on installation
Less road chuck, no noticeable sway and minimum sag
