It also has excellent storage on the inside, and a large storage area on the outter case jacket. The pocket is roomy and nice, not bulky. If you are interested in buying a case for your French horn then this is a great case. This case is for detachable bell horns. It comes with padding to secure the horn. It shows no signs of wear after a year and the padding inside is still firm. It’s big enough to hold those large black music folders. The body of the case is very solid and could handle most impacts very well. This makes a great extra case, or spare case to have lying around. The music holder is great and the storage is good.

The protec horn case's material feels more premium than its price would suggest. There are 2 hard, plastic mouthpiece holders built right in to the well-padded main compartment. It is made of extremely durable 1680 ballistic nylon and reinforced with zig-zag stitching with a lightweight shock absorbing wood frame. It is made of durable rope with reinforced stitching and a padded handle wrap for excellent comfort. The pocket is luxurious with much space and nice sub-pockets for smaller items.

On the inside of the lid there are only two strategically placed support pads, and a sort of thinly padded system of slots on the bottom of the case where the horn should rest. The horn fits great, just unzip and open the top for easy access. It is as long as you push the tuning slide all the way in before inserting the flugel into the case.
