The Gold Lion really opens up the soundstage and presentation and adds a nice warmth to the music that the EH and stock tube didn't get close to offering. It has a different sound, no tubes sound alike due to the different frequencies the tube can change. The high is airy and very clean without any sibilance at all.

The Gold Lion adds noticeable warmth, but at the cost of losing a decent amount of detail at the top end. The bass is also a dramatic improvement from the stock tube and the musicality is very good.
