It is a good IR light and lights up areas up to 30 to 60 feet away at night. It comes with screws and you mount it on a fence, your porch or tree or whatever, that bracket on the back is the mount. The light sensor works perfectly at turning the IR light on at dusk and off at dawn. It is extremely bright and covers in excess of 100 feet. The housing is much more visible in the daytime than anything at night so it’s best to mount them near the ground or under an eave.
