The tube is a must have accessory for your daily purpose. These JJ's sound great after a good burn-in and they don't break the bank. They are loud and clear but definitely show some mechanical noise and rattle. The little dot needs the 6n6 different plate and resistance configuration. The lows stay tight but get deeper, mids smoothly saturate with very dirty blues/classic rock friendly compression, and the chimey highs inspire.

The sound is exactly what you want in an EL84 and the tubes hold up very well. The strings separation is more defined when playing chords. It is the other bigger models such as the fender hot rod series that use 6L6 as power tubes.

These tubes are replacement tubes for a cheaper monoprice stage amplifier with 15 watts. They are tested at the maker to be as close of a match as possible, get a nice dry cloth and don't touch the glass (Oil on the skin will make a hot spot), plug em' in. The sound is instantly brighter.

It is great for your normal all around tone. They work and sound pretty smooth after warming up while. It is especially overdrive tones. The amp only uses a single output tube, but it is nice to have a backup ready to go.

It has a medium or normal distortion. It can be used in the right place to yeil some cleaner head room. It is best for a softer attack, and those who play a lot of rock and blues solos.
