It is great for retrieving golf balls from water holes. It works pretty well for up to 14 feet. This retriever is a little extension that presumably holds the golf ball in the cup once the ball is secured. It works very well and extends easily, nice to retrieve your balls from water or deep brush where rattlers lie waiting. The cup portion takes some getting used to and works reasonably.

It can be fully extended without any problem. It is great for reaching those golf balls in the middle of the creek.
