Although the recording may not be as bright as the Blue Note it is clean nice quality sounding vinyl. Burrell moves more fluidly from note to note without the infinitesimal delay in attack that mars some of Kessel’s otherwise fine recordings. It is very quiet and the gatefold is an excellent edition. There are also two bonus tunes and a gate type cover.
