The pully system makes it very easy to haul up/down even heavy bikes to about 6" from the ceiling. It includes four bike hoists plus the hardware to attach to wood studs. It can likely add rope and extend if planning on going further than 10 to 11 feet, at 10 feet from the top bracket there is enough rope left for a 5 foot 6 person to grab on and lift back into position. The rope can fall off especially when the system isn't loaded with a bike which can make it harder to get the rope to move but nothing that would cause things to get stuck.

The pulley sets are in individual bags as are the ropes. It comes with it is very long, so with the uneven angle when you hoist up the bike one side of the hooks will be down lower than the other so the bike hangs evenly.
